Remembrance Sunday seems to be just another band job . March down to church , play some hymns and march back. But as the reader in the church runs through the list of the dead - Smith, Brown, Higginbottom - he comes to a point when the names are all the same - an unusual name - Roseblade. It's at this point that it all becomes real . Because I'm sure we all miss somebody . I don't know the family but it seems obvious that all four sons have been lost from one family in Dobcross.You look in the parish register now and there are no more Roseblades , a whole family line gone . This is where we as a band show our support for our village.
