28 Oct 2007 - Dobcross Church Light Celebration
The Youth Band were delighted to be asked to play at the celebration service for the re-lighting and re-decoration of Holy Trinity Church. The church looks splendid with its fantastic chandelier as a centrepiece and the lighting effects throughout the service created the mood for each aspect of the evening. The service was also a farewell to the Bishop of Middleton, Michael Lewis who is leaving to become the Bishop of Cyprus and the Gulf.
Brian led the band who played the hymns, the march, True and Trusty and the Voluntary, Irish Blessing.
After the service the congregation enjoyed some light refreshments and the band members were rewarded with chocolates for their performance.
Thank you to those band members who took part in the evening. You helped make the occasion memorable.
