Whit Friday is the longest day of the year, a day when true friendships are renewed from far and wide. A day when parents and children can take pride in the contribution that they have all given to get to this point. Whit Friday once again was blessed by glorious weather for the walkers , if not for the band having to wear heavy woollen jackets. ( Hey-Ho ! Into some lives a little rain must fall! ) The Youth Band's performance and appearance is a great credit to the village of Dobcross. What makes it a special day is what people put in , not how many spectators there are eating their 'prawn sandwiches' , or how many daft bands there are playing silly tunes in silly costumes........ ( End of preaching !) I hope that your day was special.
